Without further ado....here we go!
Our day at Hollywood Studios on Monday the 21st started out with our Fastpass+ for Toy Story Midway Mania. Mania is right because stand-by lines were insanely long over 2 hours. I would not wait in those kinds of lines. After that we went to the Lights Motors Action Extreme Stunt show to see one of its last performances. We did have a Fastpass+ for that, but it really was not necessary. The theater wasn’t full at all. Then after that we had a Fastpass for Star Tours The Adventure Continues. Usually, a Fastpass+ to Star Tours isn’t completely necessary because the lines come and go during the day, but it was a good thing we did have it. We did not have a dinner reservation. Lunch was a disaster in Hollywood studios because I was counting on having the black-bean burger at the ABC Commissary only to find out they removed it from the menu. I had a salad with chicken instead, but not before we walked from QS to QS looking for menu items that we could eat. For dinner we walked from Hollywood Studios back to EPCOT and ate several small portions from various food booths at the Flower & Garden Festival. We also had some delicious desserts.

After we finished eating, we still wanted to see the new Star Wars fireworks at Hollywood Studios, so we trekked back to Hollywood Studios. Now, my family must walk fast because at 8:30pm we were making a purchase in the Germany pavilion and by 9:15pm we were standing behind Min and Bill’s Dockside Dinner watching the fireworks, after not only walking back to the park, going through bag check, and scanning in, but I’d also stopped at the bathroom inside 50’s Prime Time Diner. After the fireworks, we walked back to the Boardwalk Resort.
Our day at Animal Kingdom found the park busy, but not horrible. We had a Fastpass+ for the safari at around 10am followed by Fastpasses for Expedition Everest. On our way to our 10am fastpass+ we received an email from MyDisneyExperience telling us that the attraction was closed, and we could select any attraction of our choice in the park that day as a replacement. So we moved on to Everest. I don’t like big drops, so I skip this one. I had a fastpass too, but just didn’t even plan to use it. With new changes to Fastpass+, I should not have to book a wasted Fastpass+ for myself for these kinds of rides anymore in the future. We then met our friend for lunch. We went to Yak & Yeti. I showed my Landry’s card and we were seated in less than 5 minutes. The food was delicious as usual. We had a seat by the window near the front on the first floor. After lunch, we had Fastpasses for the Dinosaur ride. After Dinosaur, we checked back and found the Safari had reopened, so we went ahead and rode. We were told a sink hold had to be repaired in the road. We shopped around for a while, and then headed back to our resort to be ready for our dinner reservation.
(Thanks again, Mindy! Part 4, the final installment, is coming up next week!)
