After a short bus ride, we arrived at Hollywood Studios! Of course, I had to get a picture of the VERY large and gorgeous Christmas tree, which was just outside the entrance.
The first order of business was to head to the ticket counter, and purchase my Annual Pass. I have a few Disney trips planned in 2014, and it's more cost effective to purchase an Annual Pass vs buying individual tickets for each trip. (You can purchase the AP online as well, and then pick it up at Downtown Disney. We didn't have time to hit DTD before we went to Hollywood Studios, so I purchased it when we arrived.)
And this year, I got Mickey! Woo hoo! With the Annual Pass you are also eligible for a few discounts, including 10% discounts at the shops at Disney! Cha-ching!!
Because we had made our Fast Pass reservations online, before we left home (more on that later!), we didn't have to run around like crazy people; we could get into the park, and enjoy our morning!
We entered the park (the sky looked dark, but it never rained and cleared up by lunch time). Noah wanted to take a look at the Tatooine Traders shop, so we headed over there first.
Once inside, we got to browsing; as a Star Wars fan(atic), Noah was in heaven.
They have some pretty great merchandise in this store; if you or someone in your party is a Star Wars fan, you for SURE want to check this out!
In the store, you can take your picture and they'll insert it into a famous scene from the movie. Below is what Noah chose; we thought it turned out pretty good!
He ordered a poster for his room; I was initially hesitant, thinking "How are we going to fit that in our suitcases?!" but the nice gal at the store reassured me, they mail it right to you house.
After leaving Tatooine Traders, we had a few minutes to spare before we headed over to the Lights, Motor, Action Speedway show. Take a look at the lack of people in the picture below - THIS is why you get to the parks at rope drop!
Coming up in the next installment - we see the Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt show!
