This afternoon on Facebook, I asked if people would be interested in a section of the blog where I talk about healthier eating, exercise and general wellness choices both as it relates to your daily lives and for when you visit a Disney destination.
There were enough supportive Likes to the post that I decided to launch this new section - Movin' with The Mouse!
These are the posts where we'll talk about healthier eating, exercise, and general wellness. I personally am on a path to moving my body more and being healthier, and thought some of you might be as well, so I thought it'd be fun to be in it together.
I'll also do posts and videos about healthier eating choices at Walt Disney World, Disneyland and on the Disney Cruise Line, so you can be armed with good information as you head out on vacation. I'll also be bringing you most guests posts from other bloggers and writers, talking about special dietary needs such as gluten free, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian, etc.
In addition to talking about healthier eating choices, I'll also be sharing information about other health and wellness choices that you can implement into your daily lives.
I'm most excited about sharing with you a feature I'm calling 1,400 Miles. This is the approximate distance between my home in Iowa, and Walt Disney World in Florida. I want to track all my movement during the day (both exercising and just walking around) and log my mileage, and see how long it takes me to log the 1,400 mile distance between home and WDW. I'm working on getting a cute little graphic going that shows where I am in the journey (if you're a graphic-arts talented person, please get in touch! I'd love to hire you to help me with creating this). I am *hoping* to get an Apple Watch Sport in April, and use that to start tracking my mileage each day.
