Sunday with Friends - Brittany Peregoff

Happy March 22nd to all of you! First, before we get started, I have to give a special birthday shout-out to my little sister, Alice! Happy Birthday ~ see you soon!

Today on Sunday with Friends, I want you to meet Brittany Peregoff. Brittany and her husband have an INCREDIBLE story of how they met! Read on to hear their incredible story.

* Tell us a bit about yourself.

My name is Brittany Peregoff and I live in Virginia Beach, VA. I own and operate three businesses with my husband David. My family and I have been visiting Walt Disney World ever since I can remember.

I have vacation at Disney countless times and plan to continue for as long as I live. Ten years ago, I met my husband on a Disney Cruise. I was only 15 years old at the time, and he was 16. We lived on different sides of the country, but would visit each other several times a year. Many WDW and DCL vacations were enjoyed over the years. We both attended college in Virginia, and after graduating we shared a magical experience together with our Disney wedding. Post college life led us to create three separate businesses that we run and work currently everyday. We continue to choose Disney as our vacation of choice. That is not to say we haven't tried other companies to vacation with, but we have yet to find anyone that can exceed the hospitality and joy of a Disney vacation. It is a tradition that we will carry on as we start and grow our own family.

* What is your favorite time of year to visit the Disney parks or sail the Disney Cruise Line?

My favorite time of year to visit the Disney parks is summer time, especially in June. I always went to Disney World as as child during the summer months, so for me if feels the most like "Disney" when I visit during summer and it is hot!

My favorite time of year to sail on Disney Cruise Line is anytime. But if I had to pick a specific time it would probably be during December and on the Christmas cruises (especially the longer ones). This is because I met my husband David on my first Disney Christmas Cruise on the Magic in 2004.

* If you had to pick your favorite attraction at Disney World or Disneyland, what would it be?

This is really hard because there are several attractions that I LOVE at both Disney World and Disneyland. But if I had to pick it would probably be Big Thunder Mountain in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World and Pirates of the Caribbean in Magic Kingdom at Disneyland.

* Tell us a story about one of your favorite memories from your Disney vacations.

My favorite memory at Walt Disney World is my Disney wedding. We had the ceremony at the Wedding Pavilion at The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and had our cocktail hour and reception over in the ballrooms at the Grand Floridian. Not only does Disney do an exceptional job of making the bride feel like a real life princess, but we had all our family and all of our friends down there with
us. Disney went above and beyond every single expectation I ever had about the wedding. It was absolutely stunning and unbelievable. I also enjoyed showing our family and friends around all the parks and take them drinking around the world at Epcot!

* If you had a friend visiting a Disney park or sailing on the Disney Cruise Line for the first time, what tip(s) would you give them?

Disney Park Tips:

 - First times, don't visit during the busiest times of the year. If you don't know the ins and outs of the parks, then battling the crowds can get miserable. Experience helps during these times.

 - Book/plan your dining choices and Fast Passes at least 3 months in advance.

 - In my experience, staying on Disney property is the best way to do Disney. So many perks to staying on property!

Disney Cruise Line Tips:

 - Book as many excursions through Disney as possible. They do a great job if something comes up like weather, cancellations, etc.

 - 3 days is too short. If at all possible, book yourself a week long cruise.

 - There are great activities for every age level on the ships. From the nursery, to the kids club, to the teen club, to the adult night life, there is something fun for everyone on board.

Thank you, Brittany, for sharing your story! Isn't that incredible that she met her hubby ON Disney Cruise Line?! How sweet is that!

Have a great week, everyone!
