Trip Report Day Five: Our Room for the Next Three Nights

On Disney Cruise Line, your rooms are ready around 1:30PM.  You still won't see your luggage in your room until about 4:30PM, but you can get into your rooms earlier.

We were on the 6th floor, and that is a perfect location; you're in the middle of the ship, so it's not far to walk up or down the stairs to meals, activities, etc.

We had an Inside Stateroom for this cruise, and because of where it was located on the ship (far aft), we had a bit more room due to the way it was configured.

The door was right across from the sofa/bed.  To the left is the bathroom, and to the right is the bed.  You can see how much room we had there on the left; we actually put the coffee table over there, so we had even more space in the entrance way.

The closet is quite big, with plenty of hangers and room for clothes and shoes.  There is also a safe in the closet, so you can lock up your passports, wallets, etc.

The bathrooms are small, as you can see, but still enough room to shower and use the facilities.

Here's a view of the bed area, from the closet.

The bed is VERY comfortable and quite large.  Another nice aspect is that the bed is elevated, so suitcases can fit under there, saving you prime floor space.

Even in the smaller Inside Staterooms, there is plenty of storage.

When we got back to the room after dinner that night, we had a sweet little swan on our bed.

This is what the couch looks like made up as the bed; when they do turndown service each night, they will make the bed for you.  I have slept there on many cruises, and even for an adult I think it's quite comfortable.

On the bed, they turn the pillow so you can see the phrase that's written there....LOVE it.

They also sell this pillow at the gift shop and it'll only set you back about $200.  Yeah, wish I was kidding about that price.

On either side of the bed are small shelves, and also drawers that are great extra storage.  Underneath the ledge where the alarm clock is sitting is an outlet on each side, so you can plug in your phone, iPad, etc at night.

So that was our home away from home, while on the Magic.  For two of us, it worked perfectly.  We didn't spend any time in the room other than sleeping and getting ready, so it was a great room.

Up next: Our first dinner on the Magic!
